Joy A. Ceesay
Esquire
Raised in The Gambia, West Africa, Joy Ceesay graduated from Wake Forest University in 2004 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Sociology. She obtained her Juris Doctor from American University, Washington College of Law in 2007. While in law school, Joy was a student attorney for the International Human Rights and Immigration Law Clinic, and Deans Fellow with the Domestic Violence Clinic.
Prior to joining Whittaker & Associates, Joy was a law clerk for a small general practice law firm in Rockville, MD and later was an associate attorney at a small firm in Washington, DC.
Joy is admitted to practice law in Maryland.
Joy is married to Kebba Lamin and they live in Germantown, Maryland. When Joy is not practicing law, Joy likes to read and go out to eat.
